Speaking

Keynotes and professional learning that move people to think differently — and lead better.

Dr Amie Fabry brings research, clarity and warmth to the conversations that matter most in early childhood: why leadership shapes everything, why play is serious business, and how leaders can work with greater intention and purpose.

She speaks at conferences, leadership forums, sector events and professional learning days — for audiences who want more than inspiration. They want to leave knowing what to do next.

Lead the Early Years, Lead the Future

Why strong starts need strong leaders.

The early years shape the future. But strong foundations don't happen by chance — they happen because of the leaders who create the conditions for children, educators and communities to thrive.

This keynote challenges narrow ideas of school readiness and makes the case for something bigger: systems, schools and services that are genuinely ready for children. Grounded in research and sector experience, it positions early childhood leadership as one of the most powerful levers we have.

Playing on Purpose

Why play is how children learn well, live well and become well.

Play is not a break from learning. It is one of the most powerful ways young children make sense of themselves, others and the world — and one of the most misunderstood.

This keynote gives educators and leaders a clear, evidence-informed case for play: what children are actually doing when they play, why it matters for learning and wellbeing, and what leaders can do to protect and strengthen it. Audiences leave with fresh language, sharper thinking and renewed conviction.

Lead with Intention

How to lead with greater clarity, confidence and purpose.

Pedagogical leadership doesn't happen by accident. It takes leaders who understand their influence, know how to create the right conditions, and can bring people with them through change.

Drawing on her doctoral research and the Lead with Intention Framework, Amie helps early childhood leaders see themselves and their work differently — and leave with a clearer sense of what to do next. Especially powerful for leaders stepping into new roles or seeking to strengthen their impact.

What to expect
