Meet Dr Amie

I’m Dr Amie Fabry, and I believe the early years deserve to be led with intention.

I am a speaker, author and advisor who works with educators and leaders across ECEC services, schools and systems to strengthen leadership, culture and practice in the early years. My work is driven by a simple belief: when we lead the early years with intention, we shape stronger futures for children, communities and society.

I bring together the insight of an educator, the rigour of a researcher and the perspective of a leader to help others make sense of what matters most and turn insight into action. With experience spanning policy, practice and research, I work to bridge evidence and action so what we know becomes what we do.

My PhD research into early childhood pedagogical leadership in schools reinforced what I had long seen in practice: quality in the early years does not happen by chance. It is cultivated through leadership that is relational, intentional and grounded in a strong understanding of how young children learn and thrive.

Today, I support educators and leaders through provocative and insightful thought leadership, practical and engaging professional learning, and advisory and coaching that help them make sense of evidence, connect it to their context, and think strategically about the path ahead.
Leading the early years means leading the future.
